Available Programs
What We Provide: We can take you from zero to hero in the flying world. Start with us to get your private pilots license or continue on and let us get you through your Instrument rating and commercial pilots license as well as your Instructor Ratings. We also provide tailwheel training and CFI spin endorsements. You will not be disappointed in the quality of instruction you will receive from our highly qualified flight instructors. We make learning to fly fun and enjoyable.
RATES
1976 Cessna 172M
Note: Due to the City of Cleveland and its new commercial rate policy the aircraft can only be used for instructional purposes to include the pursuit of ratings and certifications such as a private/commercial/atp license, IFR rating, TAA endorsement etc.

Ferry Pilot and Flight Instruction
Ferry $600 per day including expenses
Aerobatic Instruction: $95 per hour
Tailwheel Instruction: $85 per hour your plane $65 per hour in ours.
Primary Instruction: $75 per hour your plane $60 per hour in ours.
Ground Instruction: $45 per hour

Dustin Newell
CFI/A&P and Air Traffic Controller
Dustin has been actively flying since he was 14yrs old and currently has over 3000hrs in multiple type of aircraft. With 30yrs of Federal Service as a former US Navy Aviation Electrician and a current Air Traffic Controller at Houston Center Dustin is energetic and driven. His passion for aviation has been the inspiration and dedication to starting this endeavor that has been a dream for years and is now reality.
Tom Street
ATP/CFI/CFII/MEI
With over 50yrs of flying experience and over 36,500 flight hours Tom Street is the epitome of aviation. Tom retired from SWA the number 1 senior captain on Jun 2, 2017. Since joining Texas Stick and Rudder, Tom Street has consistently brought a passion and dedication with them each day and one hour of flying with Tom is equal to 10hrs from anyone else. His experience and love of aviation is unsurpassed by very few. We sure are glad to have him around!!
Jimmy Whitson
ATP/CFI/CFII/MEI/A&P/IA
Jimmy is a true aviator, devoting his life to mastering the art of flight. Over his 15yrs in aviation has flown over 5000hrs in many different types of aircraft including type ratings in jets and numerous general aviation planes. Loved by students and staff alike, Jimmy Whitson brings knowledge, enthusiasm and joy to Texas Stick and Rudder.
